The health and safety of our patients is our number one priority at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute. The Coronavirus outbreak is of serious concern and we need to make some changes for those who are coming to our facility.

If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath please call us at 541-683-5001 PRIOR to coming in to your scheduled visit.

All patients and visitors will be screened for fever and respiratory symptoms prior to entry into the clinic. Any visitor who has a fever or respiratory symptoms will be asked to wait in their car for the patient. Any patient who screens positive for fever or respiratory symptoms will be moved to a private location for an assessment and evaluation.

We understand that having the support of our loved ones is important during cancer treatment but at this time we are making changes to our visitors’ policy. We are not allowing visitors currently for follow-up appointments or lab appointments. First time new patients who are scheduled for a consult are allowed one visitor. Visitors who are assisting patients with a disability are also welcome to attend appointments.

We have also made some changes within our facility so that we can practice social distancing. In the infusion room patient chairs have been staggered to maintain distance from other patients. Please do your best in waiting rooms and other patient areas to maintain distance of six feet from other patients.

We have an internal COVID-19 Task Force that is continually monitoring, evaluating and updating our response. Our decisions are based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and other federal, state and local agencies; daily input from the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute clinical and operational team; and our patient-first culture.

Your health is our priority. We are committed to taking all measures necessary to ensure the health and safety of you and your caregivers, our physicians and staff, and our communities.
