Conscientious, knowledgeable and down-to-earth, Dr. Thomas Sroka recognizes that every patient is an individual with unique needs, goals and family situations.
“I strongly believe that all cancer care should be personalized,” he says. “Knowing I have helped patients reach a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment, and most importantly that there is hope, is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.”
In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Sroka holds a doctorate in cancer biology. He spent many years investigating the mechanisms of cancer metastasis and stays up-to-date on the latest developments in radiation oncology research and technology.
“It’s important to maintain an advanced perspective on our ever-changing field so that patients have access to the best treatment.”
Away from WVCI, Dr. Sroka’s best moments are spent with his family, listening to his daughters play their violins, playing superheroes with his son and laughing with his wife. He also enjoys competing in men’s league soccer, watching college basketball and scouting the perfect pizza.
