Treating cancer is a balancing act. In the mix of considerations, Dr. Glenn Buchanan puts special emphasis on effective intervention and quality-of-life decisions.

“I feel that the most important goal of any cancer treatment plan is quality of life, both during treatment and after,” Dr. Buchanan says.

Open-minded, systematic and determined, Dr. Buchanan always spends time with his patients and their families, understanding them and their lifestyles.

“I get to know them,” he says, “not just their medical problems.” Because his goal is always to help people live better.

Dr. Buchanan has a special interest in lung and gastrointestinal malignancies, but he treats patients with all types of tumors.

 

Personal Information

In his off hours, Dr. Buchanan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is fluent in Spanish, runs long distance and cycles. He enjoys fiction, plays the piano and has been known to write the occasional alternative song lyric.
