Dr. Wang was inspired to pursue the study of oncology and blood diseases from an early age due to his experiences of seeing loved ones go through the cancer diagnosis and treatment process.
“Navigating a cancer diagnosis and therapy can be complex and stressful, but my goal is to simplify the process and make it as smooth as possible for patients and their families.”
Dr. Wang’s passion for the advancement of cancer research led him to closely work with scientists and other clinicians in the field of immune redirection (taking advantage of patients’ immune systems to fight cancer) and he has published his work in prestigious journals including Nature Medicine, Journal of Hematology Oncology, and Cancer Cell. He is excited to bring cutting-edge, innovative therapies to patients in his community.
“The science and technology in cancer medicine are advancing at such a rapid speed. I view it as my job to grasp these advancements and mold them to maximally benefit my patients.”
Dr. Wang grew up an avid skier and fly fisherman in New England. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar and staying active with pickup basketball, tennis, and hiking. He is also the official taste tester for his wife’s culinary creations.
