Originally, as a post-college graduate, Jordyn wasn’t so sure where her career would take her. Then she was referred by a current WVCI employee, and while waiting in the lobby for her interview, she witnessed a patient “ring the bell,” completing treatment. “I knew at that moment this was somewhere I wanted to be part of.”
Now, after over 7 years at WVCI, Jordyn continues to be amazed and the strength, courage, and resilience of both the patients and the staff. “Working for WVCI is greater than just a job. It’s a place where we make a difference and somewhere I am proud to be a part of.”
As the Revenue Cycle Manager, Jordyn has oversite of almost all administrative roles of a patient’s cancer care. Front office, scheduling, billing, and the back-office department all report under the Revenue Cycle umbrella. Detail-oriented and passionate, Jordyn’s strengths help her collaborate with other department leaders to create cohesive, efficient processes and working relationships.
“I am motivated by the amazing group of people I work with. The way we band together to tackle any patient need is incredible. I am also motivated by great care for our patients. We work hard at seeking financial assistance, making sure our patients understand their benefits and appealing to the insurance company when we can.”
When she isn’t overseeing the revenue cycle, Jordyn enjoys being outside and traveling with her husband and two dogs, exploring new Oregon restaurants & breweries, and rooting for the Oregon Ducks and Seattle Seahawks.
