Position: Oncology Care Manager
Empathetic and encouraging, Gretchen Matsuoka offers patients emotional support, while directing them to appropriate resources to manage the complexities of living with cancer.
“I am humbled by the tenacity and commitment our patients exhibit as they endure challenging treatments, and I’m honored to be able to help them through the process.”
Gretchen is an avid supporter of the annual Pinksox RunWalk to Live, which raises money for the Soroptimist International Clubs of Eugene and Junction City’s Breast and Gynecologic Cancer Assistance Fund. The fund helps patients at WVCI who experience financial hardship while undergoing treatment.
“I believe in helping patients access care by removing barriers. Patients are better able to adhere to their treatment plans when they are supported, listened to and connected with needed resources.”
Away from the clinic, Gretchen and her husband enjoy traveling internationally, as well as fly fishing, hiking, gardening and floating local rivers in their drift boat.
