It is important to us that our patients receive the best-possible care in a timely fashion and that your experience at WVCI is a positive one. We recently made some changes to better serve you by creating patient care teams, modifying our appointment scheduling and extending our hours of operation. Please take a moment to review the changes, many of which take effect on Dec. 4, 2017.

Patient Care Teams
To provide even better coordinated care, we’ve created care teams for our patients. Your care team includes one oncologist, nurse, medical assistant and scheduler. Whether you call in or see a care provider, you will speak to or meet with one of the members of your care team, who are most familiar with you and your plan of treatment.

Appointments
Beginning Dec. 4, 2017, patient appointments will be scheduled by phone, which will allow you to choose a time with your calendar in front of you. We will also offer flexible scheduling to better meet your needs.

  • Scheduling appointments: No need to call us; a scheduler will contact you to schedule your next appointment. This change lessens the time you spend at our clinic and makes it possible for you to schedule your appointments when it’s convenient.
  • Flexible appointments: You will have the option to see your doctor and have your lab draws on one day and schedule your treatment for another day, providing you more flexibility in scheduling. For example, you could come in to see your doctor at 7:30 a.m. one day and come back for treatment at 7:30 a.m. the next day.

Please note: Effective immediately, we will no longer schedule appointments more than six months out; instead, we will call you to schedule an appointment when you are due to see us. This change is intended to reduce the number of appointments that need to be rescheduled for a variety of reasons.

New Extended Hours
Beginning Dec. 4, 2017, our new hours of operation will be as follows:

Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

If you have questions, please feel free to call us or speak with a member of your patient care team the next time you visit.
