Caring and adventurous, Linn Bergander provides direct patient care, working closely with our highly trained team of oncologists to review patients' medical history, coordinate treatment and provide information.
"I cherish the interactions I have with patients and their families," Linn says.
Linn developed a special interest in women's health after living in Malawi and South Africa. She broadened her focus to include oncology while working at the Knight Cancer Institute and pursuing a second masters degree at OHSU in Portland.
Linn believes in equitable patient access to health care, compassionate and comprehensive cancer services, and improved quality of life through relief from symptoms, pain and stress that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
Newly minted to Eugene, she is already signing up for shifts at Volunteers In Medicine Clinic, which provides free health care to low-income, uninsured people.
In her free time, she pursues international travel, nature, culture, community and family. She skis, bikes, kayaks, hikes, backpacks, camps and rock climbs with friends, family and her Labrador-Wolfhound mix, Chandler.
